Financial Aid Application Process
Complete the FAFSA
Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at fafsa.gov. Use CTI's school code (contact our Financial Officer for the code). The FAFSA determines your eligibility for federal grants and loans.
Submit CTI Financial Aid Application
Complete CTI's internal financial aid application form. This form helps us identify scholarship opportunities and other aid programs for which you may be eligible.
Provide Supporting Documents
Submit required documentation such as tax returns, W-2 forms, and any other financial documents requested by our Financial Aid Office. These documents help verify your financial need.
Review Your Award Letter
Once your application is processed, you'll receive a financial aid award letter detailing the types and amounts of aid you're eligible to receive. Review this carefully and contact our Financial Officer with any questions.
Accept Your Aid
Accept the financial aid package that works best for you. You can accept all or part of the offered aid. Be sure to complete any required paperwork promptly to ensure timely disbursement.
Employer Tuition Reimbursement
Many employers offer tuition reimbursement programs to help their employees further their education. If you're currently employed, check with your employer about their tuition reimbursement policies.
How to Check with Your Employer
- Contact your Human Resources department
- Ask about tuition reimbursement or education assistance programs
- Inquire about eligibility requirements and application process
- Request information about maximum reimbursement amounts
- Ask if there are any restrictions (e.g., must maintain certain grades)
Employer Awards
Some employers offer awards to qualifying students who pursue culinary education. These awards may be based on performance, potential, or company partnerships with educational institutions. Be sure to ask your employer about any available awards or scholarships.
